4209 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 toward the objective ‘Increase the consistency and availability of hepatitis C promotional activities and resources’ under ‘Focus area 1: Awareness and understanding’ in the National Hepatitis C Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to support access to national hepatitis C awareness raising and promotional materials developed for the awareness campaign that was relaunched in July 2024. Regional hepatitis C services distributed these resources to a wide range of providers to encourage at-risk people to get tested for hepatitis C.
