Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 has been made toward actioning ‘Workforce training and guidance’ under Focus area 3: Testing and linkage to care actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, Body Positive provided training about point-of-care testing to clinics providing smoking cessation programmes and needle exchange clinics. In addition, Body Positive has developed free online training to support early detection and equitable access to care, enabling people living with HIV to maintain their health and prevent further transmission.
