Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 has been made toward actioning ‘Broader population screening services’ under Focus area 3: Testing and linkage to care actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, work continued on an audit of antenatal screening to identify gaps in screening for HIV and syphilis to inform further work to achieve the goals of the HIV Action Plan as well as wider work on sexually transmitted and blood borne infections. I am further advised that the data sharing agreements required for delivery of this work remain in progress.
