Hon Mark Mitchell: Corrections does not decide who is granted or declined bail, including when that person is held on remand in a corrections facility, as that is a decision for the Courts. I am advised that if this information is shared with Corrections, it would be held on a person’s individual file. Therefore, Corrections is unable to provide the number of women on remand who were declined bail, broken down by primary recorded reason for remand.
