Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter July to September 2024 to implement the recommendation ‘Explore the role of non-hospital follow-up; for example, the role of optometry in follow-up for some ocular conditions’ as part of Te Whatu Ora Planned Care Taskforce Reset and Restore Plan?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised that Health New Zealand continued to explore a range of options for non-hospital-based follow-up.
