4069 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Did MBIE include mandatory regulation as an option to address safety risks presented by corded window coverings, following its 2023 consultation process, and if so, what did that option state exactly?

Hon Scott Simpson: MBIE advised on a range of regulatory and non-regulatory options following its 2023 consultation process, including the introduction of a mandatory product safety standard under the Fair Trading Act.
