4048 (2025). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Defence: Has she had any discussions with the Minister of Finance regarding funding for compensation to Samoan communities affected by the sinking of the NZHMS Manawanui, if not, why not?

Hon Judith Collins: The Minister of Finance and I speak regularly on a broad range of international issues of mutual interest. I do not intend to disclose the details of those discussions as they are in- confidence conversations between Cabinet colleagues.
