4025 (2026). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister of Climate Change: Did he receive any briefing regarding statements by the UK Minister of State, that the UK had raised oil and gas developments with New Zealand “on several occasions”, and if so, what representations were made in this?

Hon Simon Watts: In my capacity as Minister for Climate Change, I have not received any briefing on this particular topic. Officials from the UK and New Zealand engage regularly on a range of policy topics, as is standard for close partners.
