Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Revenue: Does he agree with the Prime Minister’s statement “We do not expect ECE providers to increase their costs and to increase their prices, because we actually also will have, for the first time, a lot of data that we'll be collecting to be able to monitor ECE charges and prices”, and if so, on what advice, by title and date, has he received on this?

Hon Simon Watts: IRD has provided advice on the potential for provider capture and increased compliance costs for the ECE sector.
