3976 (2026). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Finance: What are the specific terms of engagement for Mr Archer as a reviewer in the independent review of New Zealand’s monetary policy response to the Covid-19 pandemic?

Hon Nicola Willis: Mr Archer has been contracted to work with Dr Ophanides to produce a written report that assesses the performance of monetary policy during the COVID-19 pandemic and makes recommendations to improve the monetary policy response to future shocks in accordance with the terms of reference for the review. The terms of reference are available on the Treasury’s website at https://www.treasury.govt.nz/publications/information-release/independent-review-monetary-policy.
