3933 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Health: What is the time frame for a new 24/7 urgent care service in Palmerston North to be operational?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand expects to conduct an open procurement process for a new 24/7 urgent care service in Palmerston North in the 2026/27 financial year. The timeframe for the service to be operational is dependent on the outcome of the procurement process. I am further advised that implementation of the national urgent care and afterhours frame-work is a three-year programme of work.
