3922 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, refurbished Kāinga Ora homes have had wool carpet installed since 1 July 2025 and how many, if any, had wool carpet installed in 2024/25?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that wool carpet has been installed in 319 existing homes from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025 and in 23 existing homes in the 2024/25 financial year. These figures include all installations in existing homes. This means everything from a patch repair to whole house recarpeting but excludes the Retrofit Programme.
