Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How many graduate positions, if any, were there in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, between November 2024 and November 2025?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that Earth Science New Zealand had approximately 140 graduate positions employed between November 2024 and November 2025. No other science entities within my Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio had graduate positions during mentioned period.
