3823 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress has been made in the last quarter (October to December 2023) to ‘Increase kaupapa Māori research and evaluation capacity and capabilities’ under Outcome 1: New Zealanders have a system that delivers consistent and modern cancer care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Te Aho o Te Kahu — Cancer Control Agency continued to partner with the National Child Cancer Network (NCCN) kaupapa Māori research on understanding experiences of child cancer whānau. The research will inform decisions across the cancer sector, as it pertains to delivery of consistent and modern cancer care for children with cancer and their whānau.
