3811 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress has been made in the last quarter (October to December 2023) to appropriately regulate vaping in accordance with ‘Outcome 3: New Zealanders have fewer cancers, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Casey Costello: Additional regulations for vaping products have progressively taken effect from 21 September 2023. These regulations required new specialist vape retailers to be at least 300 metres from a school or marae and brought in new flavour description requirements and nicotine levels, as well as new product safety requirements for disposable vapes.
