Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress has been made in the last quarter (October to December 2023) to ‘Enhance prevention campaigns, including promotion through a range of settings’ under Outcome 3: New Zealanders have fewer cancers, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the October to December 2023 quarter, the following progress was made to enhance and promote prevention campaigns: • The National Cervical Screening Programme ran two media campaigns. • Pop-up cervical screening testing spaces were held at ten Te Wānanga o Aotearoa campuses in November 2023.
