3795 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: How many staff were made redundant, if any, in the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, listed by role title, date of redundancy, type of employment, and duration of service?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, a total of 171 Stats NZ staff were made redundant, including 88 voluntary redundancies. All 171 roles were permanent. I refer the member to the table attached which provides a breakdown of staff redundancies by role title, date and duration of service. Some role titles have been withheld to protect the privacy of impacted individuals.
