Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Te Aho o Te Kahu - Cancer Control Agency has been developing Optimal Cancer Care Pathways (OCCP), to describe best practice and expectations for the delivery of publicly funded optimal cancer care. Step 3 of the OCCP's 'presentation, initial investigation and referral', supports cancer diagnosis through primary and community health services.
