3781 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: In what circumstances would it be appropriate to charge for replying to Official Information Act requests made to their office, or agencies for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice’s Charging Guidelines for OIA Requests, and the Ombudsman’s Charging: A guide to charging for official information under the OIA and LGOIMA are publicly available documents that outline the appropriate circumstances in which to make reasonable charges for supplying official information under the OIA.
