3776 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many complaints, if any, did Kāinga Ora receive about tenants in each month since January 2020 that it deemed to be for minor issues, such as car noise, frequency of visitors, or unmowed lawns?
Hon Tama Potaka: As Associate Minister of Housing (Social Housing), Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it did not centrally record complaints to this level of detail prior to 2023. I refer the Member to the attached table provided by Kāinga Ora for the number of minor complaints since January 2023. Note that the complaints recorded in the table include those that were later found to have no merit, did not require any action by Kāinga Ora as a landlord, or were later withdrawn.
