Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Universities: How many staff were made redundant, if any, in the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, listed by role title, date of redundancy, type of employment, and duration of service?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: For the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 3642 (2025). I am advised by the Tertiary Education Commission that between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, there were 24 staff made redundant. I refer the Member to the attached table, showing the list of redundancies by type of employment and duration of service. The role titles have been withheld to protect the privacy of impacted individuals.
