3769 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Universities: What are the total costs of staff redundancies, if any, in the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies - or for any other staff for whom the Minister is responsible - between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: For the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 3644 (2025). I am advised by the Tertiary Education Commission that between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, there were 24 staff made redundant at the Tertiary Education Commission at a total cost of $746,918.
