Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Vocational Education: How many staff were made redundant, if any, in the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, broken down by district, ethnicity, gender, and any other socioeconomic variable that is collected?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised by Education New Zealand that, 13 staff were made redundant between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025. I am advised by Tertiary Education Commission that, 24 staff were made redundant between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025. I refer the Member to the attached table, showing the breakdown by district, ethnicity and gender for Tertiary Education Commission and Education New Zealand.
