3744 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Police
Written Question
Published date: 24 Feb 2026
3744 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Police: On how many occasions, if any, during the 2025 calendar year did each agency for which the Minister has responsibility charge someone for providing information under the Official Information Act and for each instance what was the amount charged, the reason for the charge and the date of the request?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police does not centrally hold or record Official Information Act requests for which a charge has been applied or proposed. The time and associated cost in obtaining this information are not, in my view, justifiable. However, I understand it is a very rare occurrence that a charge is applied or proposed.
In regard to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), none.
