3744 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: How many kura, if any, have property projects underway or planned, listed by name of kura, and the date the property project commenced or is planned to commence?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached table showing 104 kura with Ministry of Education (Ministry) led property projects underway or planned, and corresponding forecast project start dates by quarter. Some kura may have more than one project planned. In this case, the earliest start date is given. Forecast construction start dates are as at 29 February 2024, and are subject to outcomes of any relevant value for money reviews, prioritisation and funding. Where further planning or funding decisions are required to provide a forecast start date, this will be identified in due course. It is important to note that value for money reviews are an operational matter for the Ministry. Kura also receive 5 Year Agreement funding from the Ministry to enable them to deliver school-led capital investments.
