Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: On how many occasions, if any, during the 2025 calendar year did each agency for which the Minister has responsibility charge someone for providing information under the Official Information Act and for each instance what was the amount charged, the reason for the charge and the date of the request?

Hon Brooke van Velden: In my term as the Minister of Internal Affairs, neither I nor my staff have had discussions with any officials in relation to charging for a response to an Official Information Act request. For Crown Entities; Fire and Emergency, the Classification Office, and Lotto NZ have had no occasions where they charged for an Official Information Act response.
