3696 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Police: How many staff were made redundant, if any, in the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, broken down by district, ethnicity, gender, and any other socioeconomic variable that is collected?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 3706 (2024). In regard to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), following a change process that concluded on 1 October 2024, the Serious Fraud office made four permanent staff redundant. Three of those staff were based in Auckland, and one in Wellington. Due to the low number of people impacted, releasing information about ethnicity, gender or other socioeconomic data would unduly impact the privacy of those individuals.
