3695 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Defence: Are the documents she refused to name in Written Question 1468 (2024) joint Cabinet paper from the Ministry of Defence, the New Zealand Defence Force, and MFAT titled: PROPOSED NEW ZEALAND DEFENCE FORCE CONTRIBUTION TO MILITARY ACTION AGAINST HOUTHI TARGETS, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) paper titled: Aide Memoire: Trade and economic implications of commercial shipping disruptions in the Red Sea?

Hon Judith Collins: No, the two papers referred to 1468 (2024) are still under active consideration. However, I have now been informed that the answer to 1468 (2024) was incomplete due to an error from a staff member in my office. I am now advised that the answer to 1468 (2024) should also include the following papers: - Informal Note — United States request for New Zealand support for action against the Houthi - Proposed New Zealand Defence Force Contribution to Military Action Against Houthi Targets. I have asked the house office to amend answer 1468 to reflect this.
