Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Yes. Many of New Zealand’s front-line public services need better support in a number of areas. For example, Police need a government that will back them with new tools like strong firearm prohibition orders, dispersal notices and anti-consorting orders so they can crack down on gangs and restore law & order, teachers need a clear curriculum that supports them to teach the basics brilliantly, and health professionals need a Government that understands putting them through a disruptive restructure during a pandemic and creating more bureaucracy in Wellington is not going to help them deliver better health outcomes for New Zealanders.
