Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that court proceedings for two employers commenced in 2021 and were closed during 2023 with multiple counts of offences under section 351 of the Immigration Act 2009, exploitation of unlawful employees and temporary workers. I am advised that nine employers have been taken to court and charged under section 351 of the Immigration Act 2009 for the exploitation of unlawful employees and temporary workers, with these cases still open and yet to be heard by a court.
