Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that, between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, 328 staff were made redundant. I refer the Member to the attached tables, showing the number of staff redundancies at the Ministry by: · Table 1: Location · Table 2: Ethnicity · Table 3: Gender. I am advised by the Education Review Office that one member of staff was made redundant between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025. Given the small number, it is not in the public interest for any further information to be disclosed as it would breach the privacy of this individual. I am advised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) between 27 November 2023 and 7 February 2025, 26 staff were made redundant.
