3603 (2024). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Disability Issues: Does she stand by her statement “They have been trying to deal with that, and we have been working with them to deal with that since they alerted me in December”, and if so, what does this work include?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have been working with Whaikaha and the Minister of Finance as part of the usual budget process to consider funding for disability support services. This includes consideration of additional funding for Whaikaha until the end of this financial year. I cannot provide details of funding pre-committed against Budget 2024 at this stage as that is Budget-sensitive.
