3538 (2026). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Education: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on current school choices for disabled children, such as a mainstream school, home schooling with appropriate support, or a specialist school?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have not received any advice on school choices specifically for disabled children, as the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) does not collect or store data on disability status. However, I have received a range of advice from the Ministry on school choices for children with learning support needs regarding the education system, learning support work programmes and principles, and growth and demand in the Network of Specialist Settings.
