Arena Williams to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: What appointments, if any, has the Minister made since 27 November 2023 to crown entities, boards, working groups, taskforces, inquiries, or any other role, if any, and which other Ministers, if any, were consulted on each appointment?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: On 15 February 2024, I announced the appointments of Mark Thompson (Chair), Mark Cairns and Roger Sowry to the Ministerial Advisory Group tasked with providing independent advice and assurance on the future of KiwiRail’s inter-island ferry service. The appointments were made by myself, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Transport. Coalition Party leaders were consulted. Other than this, I have not made any appointments in the State Owned Enterprises portfolio at the date of this question.
