3525 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Health: What is the purpose of the area, if any, designated as the Children’s ED in Palmerston North Hospital?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the purpose of the children's emergency department is to provide a calm, safe environment for children and their family. This helps clinicians focus on the unique needs of children, while the environment also helps the wellbeing of accompanying family members.
