3523 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Health: What is the process, if any, for triaging children who present to the ED in Palmerston North Hospital?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that children presenting to the emergency department at Palmerston North Hospital are triaged on arrival by an experienced nurse to determine their acuity prior to registration. High acuity children are prioritised immediately.
