3519 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: What testing, if any, was done on the new SMART progress monitoring tool?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that, throughout the development of the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool, testing and refinement are ongoing. For example, in 2025 there was a trial run with the sector in 85 schools involving over 12,000 assessments.
