3463 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Statistics: How many personal grievance cases, broken down by success status, if any, were filed in the Ministers departments, if any, in the 2023 calendar year?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the 2023 calendar year Stats NZ received a total of 5 personal grievances for which Stats NZ was a party. All cases except one are closed. There were a further 20 personal grievances against a third-party employer for 2023 Census collectors. I am advised that Stats NZ received copies of these 20 claims but were not party to the claims. All cases are closed.
