3413 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budget for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025 calendar year?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Ministry of Health does not specifically budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP). These costs are met from the Ministry's baseline budget. I am further advised that for financial year 2024/25 Health New Zealand budgeted $120,000 (excluding GST) to cover CNGP direct costs (including emissions reporting software, specialist consultancy support, and independent third‑party assurance).
