Hon Todd McClay: Modelling software was not used to generate ‘Estimated/targeted efficacy’ rates in table 10.1. These values were provided by researchers and subject matter experts, which in turn, are based on research trials and other scientific evidence. The Second Emissions Reduction Plan 2026-30, clearly notes that the estimates included in Table 10.1 are a snapshot in time, subject to varying uncertainty, and are expected to change as technology develops and progress is made through the regulatory system.
