3394 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Trade and Investment: How much, if any, have the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budgeted for the carbon neutral government programme for the 2026 calendar year?

Hon Todd McClay: For New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, I am advised that the total budgeted cost for the Carbon Neutral Government programme is $48,000 for the 2025/26 financial year. I am advised that NZTE’s budgeting and financial reporting process occurs on a financial year basis. Invest NZ (established 1 July 2025), is exempt from the CNGP requirements for the first financial year following its establishment.
