3389 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, budget for the carbon neutral government programme in the 2025 calendar year?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, Crown entities and any other bodies under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that Callaghan Innovation and New Zealand Institute for Public Health and Forensic Science budgeted $22,000 and $66,812, respectively, for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) in 2025 calendar year. No other science entities within my Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio budgeted funds for the CNGP in the 2025 calendar year.
