3360 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for the Public Service: How many candidates, if any, were shortlisted for the position of Acting Secretary of Regulation?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that the position of Acting Secretary for Regulation was advertised across the Public Service via an expression of interest process managed by the Public Service Commission. A panel met to consider applicants against the criteria outlined in the expression of interest being: • Sound understanding of regulatory systems • Previous experience working in an establishment role • Experience working closely with Ministers. Seven applications were received, and four applicants were shortlisted to progress to panel interviews.
