3356 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: How many times, if any, has the Minister corresponded with the Minister of Finance since October 1 2024, regarding high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI)?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: My office was in contact with the office of the Minister of Finance to co-ordinate Cabinet’s consideration of additional funding to stamp out avian influenza from New Zealand. I announced the allocation of an extra $20 million in December 2024.
