3237 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: What was the Teaching Council Chief Executive's final decision regarding The Teacher's Institute's 2024 application to be able to deliver an initial teacher education programme and on what date was this made?

Hon Erica Stanford: This is an operational matter for the Teaching Council. I am not informed of decisions it makes to approve initial teacher education providers and programmes. These decisions are made by the Teaching Council, in conjunction with New Zealand Qualifications Authority for non-university programmes. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 3238, 3239,3240.3244, 3245, and 3246 (2026).
