3223 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: How many initial teacher education places did Massey University of New Zealand | Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa receive School Onsite Training Programme funding for in their primary school programme, listed by each year funding was recevied for?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that Massey University received School Onsite Training Programme (SOPT) funding for 34 primary initial teacher education places in 2025 and 50 primary places in 2026. The 2025 allocation included one Māori medium place. All initial teacher education providers applied for SOPT places according to their capacity.
