3222 (2026). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What specific safety outcome indicators, if any, has the Minister set to measure whether the updated WorkSafe enforcement policies “improve safety outcomes”, and over what timeframes?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I have not set any additional measures to WorkSafe outside of what is already provided through the standard statutory monitoring process. I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand currently has work underway to develop its Statement of Performance Expectations for 2026-27, which will include appropriate measures relating to enforcement activity.
