Hon Brooke van Velden: The updated enforcement policies are one part of WorkSafe New Zealand’s strategy to ensure that workplaces in New Zealand are healthy and safe. I am advised that WorkSafe reports on rates of workplace fatalities and serious injuries. However, I note that a number of factors impact on these rates over time, beyond WorkSafe’s enforcement responses.
