3205 (2026). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many, if any, WorkSafe staff, by role, are expected to receive training in newly announced enforcement policies, and over what timeframe?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that since November 2025 WorkSafe New Zealand has been delivering training and awareness activities on the updated enforcement policies to inspectors, regional and area managers, and other staff involved in enforcement decision making, quality control, and victim engagement. These activities will continue through early 2026, with further integration into routine training and onboarding processes.
