3202 (2026). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Does he or his agency believe that eradication of the yellow-legged hornet is possible, and if so, what strategy and timeframe is he working under?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: Officials from the Ministry for Primary Industries have advised me they are confident that the eradication of the yellow-legged hornet is feasible. I am advised that the goal is still the identification and destruction of all nests before the next generation of reproductive hornets become viable in the environment.
